Big Contemporary House by Gonzalo Mardones Viviani
Located in Comuna de Lo Barnechea, Santiago, Chile, this cute residence was designed past Gonzalo Mardones Viviani in collaboration with Cristian Delporte, Monica Perez and Karen Oetien. The business firm sits on a 2842 sqm site and occupies 841 sqm. The construction was completed in 2011. The residence is situated perpendicular to the street for ii reasons: first to benefit from the natural light and 2d because the owners wanted a big garden and then they needed infinite for that. This also allowed them to create an external kitchen and a barbeque area.

The architects working at this project followed their usual pattern and chose a unique building cloth, in this case reinforced concrete and only one finish that in this instance blends naturally with the surroundings. The article of furniture besides respects a uniform pattern. All woodwork, all the windows and all floors are made of cedar wood, thus creating a continuity throughout the house.

Also as a symbol of uniformity and continuity, the interiors are entirely white thus creating a low-cal décor and the fake impression of a larger space. The house also includes a cedar wood deck, an area perfect for relaxation and interactivity. Overall, it's a beautiful slice of architecture, with a unproblematic and mod blueprint and a matching interior décor. It would make a very prissy home.{constitute on archdaily and pics by Nicolás Saieh}
